in brazil they have a dish similar to egg salad but they call it mayo or mayonnaise.
so today when daniel was making it, i said, "are you going to put mayonnaise in that?" and he said "what is mayonnaise?" so then i explained it to him by saying, "its the same as mayo." and he said, "what is mayo?" so then i did the only thing i could think to do to explain it and pulled it out of the fridge to show him. and then he said, "i know that's mayonnaise or mayo. but this is mayonnaise AND mayo." and pointed to the unfinished dish.
i have a hard time communicating with these brazilians sometimes.
but mayo/mayonnaise is delicious.
